How We Pack Your Order

Each New York Prime Beef order is prepared by our butcher team and carefully packed in an insulated shipping container with reusable ice packs and an NYPB freezer bag. Depending on the product and fulfillment timing, some cuts may be packaged fresh and others frozen.

Open your package promptly upon delivery. Perishable products should arrive frozen, partially frozen with visible ice crystals, or refrigerator-cold at 40°F or below. Refrigerate or freeze all products immediately. If an item arrives above 40°F, do not consume it; contact New York Prime Beef for assistance.

How We Ship Your Order

Orders are shipped via FedEx. When your order ships, you will receive tracking information by email. Packages are normally delivered without a signature. If you request signature service, someone must be available to accept the delivery because the contents are perishable.

When We Ship Your Order

Orders placed by 8:00 a.m. ET ship Monday through Friday. Friday shipments are available to most destinations that support Saturday delivery. If Saturday delivery is unavailable for your address, your order will ship Monday for Tuesday delivery. Your estimated arrival date will be shown during checkout.

Storage — Refrigerator or Freezer

Move all products to the refrigerator or freezer immediately after opening the box. Keep your refrigerator at 40°F or below and your freezer at 0°F.

For consumer food-safety guidance, USDA recommends using or freezing raw beef, veal, lamb, and pork steaks, chops, and roasts within 3–5 days; raw ground meats and poultry within 1–2 days. If your package includes a use-by date, follow the date and handling instructions printed on the package.

Food that arrives frozen, partially frozen with visible ice crystals, or refrigerator-cold at 40°F or below may be refrigerated or frozen promptly. If a perishable product arrives above 40°F, do not eat or taste it; contact us.
